The Grand
Rapids Cricket Club was formed in year 2007. After
tremendous efforts and struggle, for the first time in
the history of Grand Rapids, a platform was formulated
where cricket lovers got together. First, for a social
gathering and slowly it developed into a more serious
routine. The prized possessions of various persons and
the beauties of the garage; bats and balls actually came
out of hibernation. Yes! in the land of snow, you did
start hearing the crickets chirp! And that "chirp" was
music to the ears of many.
The GR Cricket
Club is registered as a non-profit organization in
the State of Michigan which aims to promote the
said-game in the areas neighboring Grand Rapids .
It aims to promote and represent the interests of
league and multi level cricket through an active
relationship with the Midwest Cricket Conference
(MWCC). |
